Warrior Cats (also simply known as Warriors) is an expansive series of books written by various people under the pseudonym Erin Hunter. It depicts the lives of several groups of feral cats known as Clans and their struggles. The first book was published in 2003, and every year thereafter has seen multiple releases.

One interesting detail about the fandom is that due to the vague nature of many cats' descriptions, it's not unusual for fans to make up a unique design that may or may not align with the canon description. (Indeed, with over 35 main-series books and dozens of side novels, novellas, graphic novels and more, sometimes even the canon descriptions are not consistent.)
