Reclining is a positional state that is between lying and sitting. It can be used as a singular tag or be used in combination with lying or sitting if the pose is very close to one particular state. Reclining can be recognized by a character leaning back against an angled surface or on their arms. If the character's upper body isn't being supported by anything, using leaning back may be more appropriate.

If the character is in a relaxed state, usually indicated by a character sitting or lying with their back physically pressed against a surface the lounging tag should also be used.

Examples

Sitting

Characters reclining at these angles will still be mostly upright, and usually will have their arms fully extended if not propped up against a surface.
