Warhammer Fantasy is a high-fantasy setting created by Games Workshop, heavily inspired by J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.

Warhammer fantasy is the second most popular branch of the Warhammer franchise, the other main branch being Warhammer: 40,000, a science fantasy setting.

Warhammer Fantasy was discontinued in 2015 after the events of "The End Times" (an apocalyptic events that resulted in the destruction of the Warhammer World)

It was succeeded by Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, which is a sequel universe to Warhammer Fantasy.
