Species: smeech
Smeeches are small, spherical enemies that solely appear in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. They appear as spherical pink winged creatures with two beady eyes and plump lips. Their name is a portmanteau of the words "smooch" and "leech."
In-game, their only way of attacking is to kiss and suck on Yoshi's lips, preventing him from sticking his tongue out. They can be defeated with a jump or spin attack (whether Yoshi is being ridden doesn't change this). They will flee from Mario or Luigi if they aren't riding Yoshi, or will detach from Yoshi if his rider is knocked off.
