The Deathgripper is a medium-sized dragon that first appeared in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. Deathgrippers have a row of armored plates lining their backs and a telescopic, scorpion-like tail. They have raptorial forelegs to grip their prey, much like the praying mantis. They have large yellow eyes and long, retractable tusks in their jaws.
