Disney's Hercules is an animated musical comedy feature film released in 1997. It is very, very, loosely based on the classical mythological figure of Heracles who is accidentally referred to by his Roman name.

The film follows Hercules, a former god turned demigod with super strength living among mortals. His goal is to prove his strength and worth to the Olympian Gods so as to regain his full godhood and take his place on Mount Olympus with his family. Meanwhile, the evil Hades, God of the Underworld, is plotting to release the Titans and overthrow his brother Zeus to become ruler of all creation.

The art style and design of the film are heavily inspired by the works of Gerald Scrafe.
