Tom (バンタム Bantamu, Bantam) is a cranky cat villager in the Animal Crossing series, appearing in nearly all the games except for Animal Crossing: Wild World. His name comes from "tomcat," another name for male cats. His Japanese name, Bantam, is short for "bantamweight," a weight division in sports such as boxing.

Tom is a blue tabby cat with a white-tipped tail and muzzle. His face pattern is similar to that of Rover, Punchy, and Moe. His ears are straight and blue with a strawberry pink interior. His yellow eyes are ovalish and are pointed, with a black iris. Tom's initial clothing is a black shirt with the white letters "BB" on.
