Species: tamaskan dog
The Tamaskan Dog is a breed of domestic dog originating from Finland but curated in the UK, that has been selectively bred to resemble a wolf or wolfdog, while having the better temperament of a domestic dog. Although their exact origins are uncertain, these mixbreed dogs were primarily arctic breed crosses of Alaskan Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Canadian Eskimo Dog, German Shepherd, Labrador Husky, and Siberian Husky.
The Tamaskan Dog is primarily used as a sled dog, being smaller than the Alaskan Malamute, but larger than many other typical sled dogs. They are described as having the temperament of a good family dog and being accepting of other dogs. Breeding lines are closely controlled and as such, there are fairly few health problems in the breed.
