Vehicles are self-propelled machines designed to transport things (such as people and cargo) through a variety of terrain depending on the type (land, water, air, space, etc.) and make use of a wide range of means of self-propulsion. In early time periods vehicles are propelled and powered by natural phenomena (eg.: wind power (sails), water flow, gravity, etc.) to muscle power (from animals and even other people).
