Describes characters with very little range of motion because other characters or other living things are immobilizing them. If the limitation is caused by non-living things, bound should be used.

Generally, characters restrained by other characters are grabbed or pinned. Tentacles frequently restrain characters, and long appendages such as tentacles and reptilian (e.g., snake) or other prehensile tails can restrain characters by coiling. A leash being held or pulled by another character count as restraining, but if the other end is tied to something, it is considered bound.
