binary drawing
Binary drawing describes digital artwork that prominently features "binary" line art, which means there is no gradation in opacity to the lines, each pixel is either 100% filled, or 0% filled (e.g. either black or white), this creates rough, "aliased" lines. Binary artwork is often flat or cel shaded, sometimes featuring dithering (small dots of one tone over another to create a different tone, e.g. small brown dots on a white to create "tan") and/or intentional color banding
Binary drawings are somewhat similar to pixel art, but are not restricted in pallet size, and individual pixels are not as important to the overall image.
