Copyright: 4th of july
July 4 is Independence Day, a federal holiday of the United States of America and is frequently referred to by the date, the Fourth of July. On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was ratified by delegates to the Second Continental Congress, declaring the Thirteen Colonies to be free and independent from the British monarchy, thus establishing the U.S.A.
Fireworks displays and public gatherings are among the most common celebratory events. Patriotic symbols, such as Uncle Sam, articles of his clothing such as his top hat depicting the Stars and Stripes, and bald eagles, are commonly used, although not necessarily indicative the picture is related to the Fourth.
