Power play is the act of two characters at minimum, at least one of which is more or less powerful either physically or in other areas relating to battle, involved in sexual activities, especially when the weaker character is the topping and/or dominant partner.

Not to be confused with hierarchy_play, which involves one character of lower rank in the social hierarchy or food chain taking the role of a top and/or dom, though the two tags can overlap.
