Nine Sols is a 2D action-platformer developed and published by Red Candle Games.
Nine Sols is set in an Asian Fantasy-Inspired world where Red Candle Games states that they had a goal with combining Taoism with Cyberpunk, in what they call "Taopunk". It features a Hand-drawn animation style & combat emphasizes the player deflecting attacks from enemies to build up energy to perform special attacks. The story follows Yi, a white anthropomorphic cat & a legendary hero from the past on a quest to overthrow the titular Nine Sols - the powerful, tyrannical rulers of the deserted realm of New Kunlun.
The game was released for Windows and Mac users on May 29th, 2024.
