April 26 is World Burlesque Day. First celebrated in 2020, it was created by Burlesque performer, mental health ambassador, and author Sapphira to celebrate burlesque, a form of dance and entertainment often performed in nightclubs and bars and the associated glamor, irreverence, raunchiness, and satire, which she credited with helping her overcome mental health issues.
