A cameo is when a character is depicted on the post, but it is not them that is in the scene. This is because what we're seeing on the post is either a poster, a painting, a photograph, a figurine, a plushie, a toy, a statue, or a television/hologram/radio broadcast of them rather than the characters themselves. As such having these present in the post doesn't increase the post's character count (for example, having someone's poster on the wall doesn't merit a duo tag), nor does it warrant a crossover tag (should the characters in question be from separate copyrighted properties).

Cameos don't include interactive indirect appearances such as video calls, phone calls, interactive holograms, animate inanimates (such as living statues or talking posters), etc., and should be treated as if they're there themselves.
