dog park

A “dog park” is a special park made for dogs. Sometimes these parks are called “bark parks,” or “canine parks.” They also are called “off-leash” parks, because dogs can run inside the park without a leash. In urban areas, dogs are usually required by law to wear a leash. Some dog parks have agility course obstacles available.

Not to be confused with

  • playground – even with furries, if the depicted location is a "feral playground" with only agility course obstacles, it should not be tagged as a playground, even if dog parks are sometimes called dog playgrounds. For a dog park to be taggable as a playground, it should be more "anthropomorphised" by having things that are not used in regular agility competition, such as swings and slides.
