Facial hair is a word used to describe the hair that grows on the lower part of the face (cheeks, around the mouth, chin etc…)
It's a secondary sexual characteristic found mainly in males.
Facial hair appears late in puberty:
- On the lower lip, around age 15 (in human years)
- On the cheeks and chin, around age 16 (in human years)
