A technological advanced species from Trials in Tainted Space home to the desert planet Ausaril. Dog humanoids equipped with fluffy tails and wolf-like ears. Fur is limited to the hands, forearms and legs up to their thighs. Males possess a knotted penis. Fully anthropomorphic Ausar (such as Paige, Emmy, and Walt) aren't a natural occurrence, but instead the result of the individual taking gene mods.

Notable variants:
Huskar are a subspecies of the Ausar created to better live on extremely cold worlds such as Uveto. Compared to their lithe counterparts, Huskars are very thicc, have neck tuft and are overall fluffier.
Hellhound is the name given to Ausar who have taken the drug known as 'the Treatment'. While they grow horns and develop a more muscular build (both males and females), they don't suffer the massive drop in intelligence normally associated with the Treatment and even the increased libido isn't as grave as among other species.
