Greasers are a youth subculture that was prevalent in the United States in the 1950s and early 1960s. The name comes from their hair which is typically greasy from heavy use of product. It is often styled into a pompadour or otherwise coiffed, necessitating a comb be carried for frequent restyling.
Typical fashion consists of a leather jacket, tight t-shirt, jeans, and boots or chuck taylor all stars.
They are often pictured with vintage cars, motorcycles, cigarettes, knives, and baseball bats, as well as hallmarks of '50s culture, such as rock and roll, drive-ins, and classic diners.
