Character: shima sonoma
Shima Sonoma
Shima is a Saber tooth Tiger owned and created by the writer Thomas Gerna
Background Lore
Shima was born and raised in a rather typical family organization. Her father was a hard working blue collar man while her mother was a more tender and soft spoken nurse at the local hospital. Being raised as the only child of such a family, Shima rarely ever saw her parents when they were not working and generally were too tired from their job to do anything on the few days they had either than sleep, watch TV, and go grocery shopping. This led Shima down a rather careless and spiteful path after high-school when her parents insisted on having her attend college at a high end university. Though it did not seem like the worst fate that Shima thought it would have become, because as she started to attend her classes, she soon met with a few like minded people that soon became her friends. Though her hobbies were far from study and more on her own personal desire to do something more with her life.
However, it seemed life had a way to get back at the saber. She was shorter than most in her class, standing only 5'9 as opposed to the usual six to even seven foot tall others around her. This tended to cause the sabertooth to develop a rather nasty short fuse around people that pissed her off, while also giving her a tendency to try her damndest to show she wasn't a pushover. Her body shape wasn't something to take lightly either, though her frame and shape looked athletic, she wasn't a stranger to thickness in the right places, with wide hips, thick thighs, and a bust that sat comfortably at a double D sized cup. At a first glance, those who meet her will be at first drawn in to her ahsen grey fur with darkened stripes that cover her body, supported by her shoulder lengthen white hair that she usually keeps at least pulled back, though she isn't a stranger to putting it up in a ponytail or other hairstyles when needed. Though once she turns to face you or you manage to see her head on, you will immediately come face to face with her fur's secondary color of a fine snowy white color, and standing completely out from the white and easily catchable would be those shining purple eyes of her's, shining like a freshly cut Amethyst gem in the light.
Through her college life Shima had a tendency to flip flop between a few ideas about what she really wanted to do from time to time. Though when she wasn't studying, reading, or having some fun in some less than private areas. She found herself more so just trying to find herself and be what she truly wanted to be. She had dreams of a fantastic life, being able to do whatever she wanted, wherever she wanted. And so that was when she decided to start working on motorcycles and aircraft. Two of the most liberating ways to get a thrill out of life as far as she could tell, despite her parents constantly warning her about such ideas. She could pack up a bike easily onto a decent sized aircraft and fly anywhere in the world she could possibly want and then cruise down roads to her heart's content.
And so through trials and study with the occasion stress relief party and other things, Shima started to work hard towards her future dream. And when that day finally came the worst possible thing could have happened to her. Her parents being fed up with her chasing that dream betrayed her, casting her out, throwing her on the street, and ruining that chance she had at finally being happy. The sheer devastation that this outcome had on her was truly devastating to her, it sunk her heart to the core and she hated it. She hated what they did to her, never believing in her, and so one night, under the cover of a new moon. Shima snuck back to her parents home, stealing her father's motorcycle while setting fire to the garage before driving off into the distance, not even caring if the fire was going to take them or if they would survive.
She drove nonstop for several days on end. Only stopping to refuel, eat, and work a few odd jobs for extra cash, some of which were not the greatest, but her body helped her get a better deal from time to time. Soon after what felt like five weeks of nonstop travel she finally found a place where maybe that dream could actually still become something for her. It was a harbor town off the coast, not too many people lived there but it was decent enough to warrant a port harbor where ships, and more importantly to her, a maintenance station was located. The owner of the place was a small Avali named Ryu Gearfeather, a cute little thing standing only three and a half feet tall, making Shima feel a bit better about herself. And after some talk and a bit of persuasion, Shima was hired on as one of his mechanics. And with this new job she could finally do what she dreamed of to an extent at least, she would be able to work on anything from cars, motorcycles, boats, to her personal favorite being the seaplanes that would land needing some repairs here and there.
And so that is where Shima finds herself today, working on things that remind her of the dream that she had once had not a few years ago. Her past is a hopeful distant memory and a future well enough ahead for her to look forward to. And hey, on the brightside side, working with the little avali as his only real worker, she basically is able to do what she likes. And sometimes that can lead to some interesting business practices. But in the end, she can be assured that with this new home, she won't have to worry about people too much, except those that come into her shop, either for business, or pleasure.
