TheKite (formally Xatiav, and Xatiavart) is a French freelance adult artist who's best known for the webcomics, Stay Close, WanderLust, How My Gardevior Became a Pornstar, and Fallout Unsheltered.

TheKite was born on October 4 in France. Very little is know about his early life. He attended an arts university in France. He had a job at Ubisoft France, until he ceased working there due to an internal dispute.

He created his DeviantArt account in 2008 under the username, Xatiav. His early works consists of My Little Pony fanart and highly detailed sexually graphic material. TheKite created his YouTube channel on August 17, 2011 with the username Xatiavart. TheKite created his Hentai Foundry page on May 20, 2014. TheKite created his Twitter account on August 2016. TheKite took a break from making comics due to health-related issues. On January 8 2019, TheKite announced that he’ll be releasing a new comic named, How My Gardevior Became A Pornstar. On March 15 2020, TheKite posted on Twitter about a discord user by the username, Kattlarv, who was critiquing him stating that he doesn’t know how to draw lesbian porn and that he’s a liar for stating that he “draws lesbianese.” On July 19 2020, TheKite made a post about people expressing their disappointment because the comic, How My Gardevior Became A Pornstar, doesn’t contain as much adult material as they’d hoped for and compared the comic to Alfie by InCase. Kite clarified this. On September 7, 2022, TheKite announced that the comic, Legends Arceus: Strange Shores, would be discontinued.
