Cyberpop, known as simply "Cyber Fashion" in Japan, is a j-fashion style that originated in Harajuku in the 1990s.
The definining aspect of the style is its use of artificial-looking materials such as latex, vinyl, and faux fur. Clothing is often baggy and loose-fitting, flared pants are common, and bright fluorescent colors are a staple. Some elements of the outfit might be glowing or translucent. Accessories are often made of brightly colored plastic, and headphones are also frequently worn.
The style is associated with the cyberpunk genre and raves, and sometimes overlaps with other fashion styles.
