flaming sword

A sword that is on fire. This is usually done via magic or coating the sword with a flammable fluid which is then ignited.

Often times it's just the blade that is on fire. Other times the blade or the whole sword itself is made out of fire in which case these types of flaming sword would also classify as an energy sword.
