November 11 is National Independence Day in Poland, commemorating the 1918 restoration of the Second Polish Republic's sovereignty from the German, Austro-Hungarian, and Russian Empires in the aftermath of World War I.

It is a public holiday and a flag-flying day. Since 2011, the Independence March has been performed by nationalist activists in Warsaw on this day.
