july (month)
July is the seventh month of the Julian and Gregorian calendars, lasting for 31 days. In the Northern Hemisphere, July is the first full month of summer, and in the Southern Hemisphere, the first full month of winter. It is named after Gaius Julius Caesar (100–44 BCE), famed Roman general and statesman.
July's birthstone is the ruby, representing contentment. July's flowers are the larkspurs (Delphinium) and the water lilies (family Nymphaeaceae). In regards to the western zodiac, July is under the sign of Cancer until the 22nd, when the sign of Leo begins.
