september (month)
September is the ninth month of the Julian and Gregorian calendars, lasting for 30 days. In the Northern Hemisphere, September is the month of the autumn equinox and in the Southern Hemisphere, the month of the spring equinox. It is named after the Latin numeral septem, meaning "seven", as the month was originally the seventh month of the Julian calendar.
September's birthstone is the sapphire. September's flowers are the asters (Aster), the forget-me-nots (Myosotis), and the morning glories (family Convolvulaceae). In regards to the western zodiac, September is under the sign of Virgo until the 22nd, when the sign of Libra begins.
Note: This should only be tagged when a monthly calendar is in the picture or when the picture is visibly September-themed. It should not be tagged for a themed art month (such as Inktober) or the month a post was originally created.
