the star (tarot)

One of the Major Arcana defined in tarot. In typical portrayals, the Star is a naked woman pouring jugs of water to nourish the earth and grass below. She usually has one foot in the water to represent a connection between two worlds (such as the physical and the spiritual), and several stars shine above.

In cartomancy, the upright Star arcanum is interpreted as hope, faith, purpose, renewal, and spirituality.
The reversed Star arcanum is interpreted as a lack of faith, despair, self-trust, and disconnection.
