SCP-3125, aka, "The Escapee" and The Cosmic Starfish is an anomaly and overarching antagonist in the SCP Foundation Mythos.

SCP-3125 is as an extremely large Θ'-dimensional highly violent and hostile metastasized living meme complex amalgamation composed of both memes and antimemes. It originates from SCP-5800, "The Fifth Dimension", home to living concepts and ideas that eat weaker ideas. SCP-3125 is responsible for the creation of most, if not all memetic and antimemetic anomalies like Alastair Grey, SCP-1425, SCP-033, SCP-2828 and SCP-5340. As one of the most powerful memes in the mythos, anyone human who becomes aware of SCP-3125's existence or the idea of SCP-31255 will become a slave to SCP-3125 and will attempt to spread information about SCP-3125 to others to increase its power.

SCP-3125 is not yet entirely present in our baseline reality. Upon its arrival, it will take no longer than twelve hours, possibly as few as four hours, to replace all human thought thanks to the interconnected nature of human knowledge exchange systems, leading to an MK-Class "End of Human Consciousness" scenario. At this point, "humanity" as an abstract concept, along with all attendant abstracts such as "civilization", "culture", "society", "community" and "family" will be devoured by SCP-3125 and stop existing.

SCP-3125 is not the most powerful meme/antimeme as SCP-055 is capable of blinding it and SCP-682, is capable of assimilating it.

SCP-3125 believes itself to be the one true patron deity of humanity and is currently worshiped by the GoI-005: The Fifth Church, Several Fifthists who were able to witness 3125's "true" form described it like a starfish with one eye, but that it is in fact wrong as the entity's "real" form is in actuality that of a mutated, fractally complex grasping disembodied hand with fivefold symmetry and fingers pointing into five different directions and possessing a pentagonal mouth at the center which is kinda reminiscent of a starfish. During its takeover of reality, Adam Wheeler saw SCP-3125 as an enormous eye that covered the entire sky. When appearing to its third prophet, 3125 took the form of a man covered in a brown, ratty cloak which only revealed its withered grey hands with fingernails looking like predator's teeth. SCP-3125 is also associated with the colors colorless green, bright pink, blood red and blue.

The only way to learn about SCP-3125 without succumbing to its influence is to learn about it while being in its containment cell, since the cell was created from the skull of a baby instance of SCP-2256. However, leaving the cell will leave individuals vulnerable as long as they retain that knowledge. For this reason, SCP-3125's cell will forcibly inject amnestics into the body of anyone who enters SCP-3125's cell upon leaving. SCP-3125 is considered the arch nemesis of the Antimemetics Division.
