"Egyptian mythology is the body of myths and teachings that belong to the ancient Egyptians. Unlike ancient Greek Mythology, primary sources and accounts of Egyptian Myths are, fragmentary, sparse, heavily biased, or non-existent. We currently only have the Egyptian Creation Myth/Osiris and a general idea of what role or capacity each god played. Modern scholars still refer to and study the myths in an attempt to throw light on the religious and political institutions of Ancient Egypt and its civilization, and to gain understanding of the nature of myth-making itself."
