Fangs — also known as canine teeth, or cuspids — are long, sharp teeth located in the front of the mouth at the "corners" of the dental arch, in mammals, they are separated by the incisors.
Fangs typically come in a set of four, one pair on the upper jaw, and one pair on the lower jaw. are found in carnivorous and omnivorous animals, used to tear at food, and also used as weapons. Fangs are especially prominent in snakes, where their particularly long upper fangs are used to deliver venomous bites.
While fangs are generally "sharp", a post should not be tagged with sharp teeth unless the other teeth in the character's mouth are also sharp.
Types of Fang
- big fangs — fangs that are overall large in size
- long fangs — fangs that are either average or below average width/diameter, but are particularly long
- one fang — when a character only has one fang visible
- small fangs — particularly diminutive fangs
- cute fangs — small fangs that are intended to be cute rather than threatening
