Species: bruno jura hound
The Bruno Jura Hound is a breed of scenthound from the Jura Mountains on the French-Swiss border. This breed is not recognized by any major kennel club, but it is highly valued by hunters in the Jura Mountains for its ability to follow faint scents in arduous terrain.
Physically, the Bruno Jura Hound is a medium-sized hound, with a height ranging from 43–59 cm (17–23 in) and a weight of 15–20 kg (33–44 lb). They have a short coat that is usually black and tan or two-tone brown in color. The breed closely resembles the larger St. Hubert Jura Hound, to which it is closely related.
In terms of temperament and behavior, the Bruno Jura Hound is known for being devoted, loyal, active, and gentle. They are perfect for singles or families who enjoy the outdoors. Although they were developed specifically for hunting, they are also known to be good companions and family pets. Their loyalty and devotion make them excellent watchdogs as well. However, they require regular exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
