playmat
A playmat is a type of mat made of colorful foam tiles, often in an interlocking puzzle piece shape or featuring letters and numbers. A playmat is commonly found in a nursery or daycare setting, and may be part of a playpen.
Not to be confused with a checkered floor; a playmat's tiles must have a puzzle-piece shape, or more than two colors.
