"We hope it will somehow find its home and not end up stuck in a vault for the rest of time."

- Sammy Burch, at the the red carpet for the 96th Academy Awards (March 10, 2024).

Coyote vs. Acme is an unreleased Warner Bros. comedy film based on the character of Wile E. Coyote from the Looney Tunes franchise, and starring Will Forte and John Cena. It was directed by Dave Green and written by Samy Burch, and adapted from the 1990 magazine article from The New Yorker, written by Ian Frazier.

It was first shelved on November 2023 by Warner Bros. Discovery, to obtain a $30 million tax write-down. Following public backlash, the decision was quickly reversed when the company allowed its filmmakers to shop the film to other distributors. In February 2024, following unsuccessful negotiations with potential buyers, the film again was shelved as a tax loss, although as of March 2024, it was reported by Burch that conversations were still ongoing as to whether or not the film would be released.

In response to both cancellations, the hastags #ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme and #SaveCoyoteVsAcme, along with other hashtags, were used in social media to petition the release of the film, in addition to protest against the buisness practices done by WBD's CEO David Zaslav. Additionally, fan art supporting the release were created in light of these moments.
