Oolong (ウーロン Ūron), also known as Woolong, is a supporting protagonist in the first saga of the original Dragon Ball manga and anime.

Oolong's normal form is of a humanoid pig, standing about three feet tall with pale pink skin. Initially, he wore a Korean War-era Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) uniform, although later he tended to dress in trousers, button-down shirts or vests, and suspenders.

The fact that Oolong is a pig wearing a Chinese Communist army uniform implies Akira Toriyama's message behind this character. Also, Oolong has a darker attitude in his early appearances. This whole concept is dropped with the beginning of the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.

Oolong is a pervert who likes to steal women's panties. When he was initially encountered, he was found terrorizing Aru Village, building up a reputation as a dangerous demon and kidnapping young girls to live in his house as his personal harem of housewives. After being defeated by Goku, he is forcibly recruited by Bulma Briefs to aid them in their quest for the Dragon Balls.

Oolong was once a student of the Shapeshifting Academy where he learned how to magically transform himself into basically anything. However, he was expelled from the academy for using his abilities to sexually harass the females at the academy. Since this happened before he was able to complete his training, Oolong was only able to maintain his transformations for up to 5 minutes at a time before changing back and needing a one minute break. Additionally, Oolong cannot make himself stronger via transformation, even if he transforms into someone powerful like Goku, meaning that his powers are very situational and only immediately useful for intimidation, hiding, deception, or to produce tools that are not on hand.

Oolong is a prominent supporting character in the Pilaf Saga but his presence and usefulness in the series diminishes with each appearance. By the time of Tien Shinhan Saga, most of Oolong's appearances are merely cameos and spectating alongside Puar and Master Roshi.
