Yennefer of Vengerberg, Yen

Fictional character from the book series The Witcher by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and the subsequent game series spin off.

Yennefer is a highly skilled and gifted Sorceress who became romantically and personally involved with the Witcher Geralt of Rivia. The circumstances of a wish made with a genie to bind Geralt and Yennefer led to the two separating for fear that their feelings were only the product of the magic of the Genie. However in the end the magic was dispelled and the two discovered that nothing had changed between them

It is implied that Yennefer's beauty is the product of her magical abilities and Geralt noted at one time that one shoulder was slightly lower than the other and he eventually discovered that Yennefer was at one time hunchbacked, but his feelings for her did not diminish because of this.

Like all sorceresses Yennefer is sterile and unable to have children. To this end she chose instead to "adopt" Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, or Ciri, in lieu of her own children following the events that led to Ciri coming to train with the Witcher's at Kaer Morhen.
