Pig orcs are a distinct depiction of orcs, which are based on the species originally introduced in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. This version of the orc race mainly originates from the earlier editions of Dungeons & Dragons, which depicted them as Lawful Evil pig men with green skin.

This depiction of orcs became very popular in various anime, manga, Japanese video games, and other forms of Japanese media. The orcs seen in the Dragon Quest video game series are the most notable examples of this.
