Quilladin (Japanese: ハリボーグ Hariborg) is a Grass-type Pokémon that appeared in the Generation VI.
It evolves from Chespin starting at level 16 and evolves into Chesnaught starting at level 36.
Biology
Quilladin is a bipedal, mammal-like Pokémon that shares similarities with plants. Its body is mainly covered by a carapace that serves as chestnut-like armor, except for its face, lower body, legs and underarms, which remain bare. The visible parts of its body are brown, except for its face, which is lighter.
Like its evolution, it has oval brown eyes, a pointed muzzle with a small orange nose, triangular brown markings on each cheek, rodent-like incisors and a tuft of brown fur on its forehead. However, this Pokémon has a large ear-like spine on each side of its head with a orange tip. Its tail is similar to its ears.
Its carapace is striated on its arms and back. The fur on its lower body creates a pointed marking on its belly. It has three white claws on its front legs and only two on its hind legs.
Like its evolution, Quilladin was inspired by the hedgehog and a chestnut
It was probably also inspired by other "armored" mammals such as: the pangolin, the armadillo and glyptodon. Its stocky, round appearance is reminiscent of the cup that protects chestnuts.
It's a peaceful Pokémon that never starts a fight.
Shiny Quilladin is dark brown and the Canon Quilladin is an anthro (with semi-anthro subtag). The species is often depicted as further anthrofied.
