This popular internet meme consists of Shiba Inu dogs depicted usually with two-word expressions, with the text starting with interjections such as "wow", "so", "many", etc plus broken English. Numerous parodies exist of the original images. It all began in 2010 with a photograph taken by a Japanese kindergarten teacher that got associated with a Homestar Runner related joke from 2005.

On May 24th, 2024 Kabosu, the Shiba Inu from the original Doge meme died at the age of 18 from Leukemia.
