When der Führer says:
"We is de Master Race,"
We Heil—! Heil—!
Right in der Führer's face.
Not to love der Führer
Is a great disgrace,
So we Heil—! Heil—!
Right in der Führer's face.
—"Der Führer's Face", a satirical song and propaganda-themed Donald Duck cartoon from the 40's.
This tag refers to images or animations depicting characters at least partially dressed in the various uniforms and regalia of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP), known in English as the National Socialist German Worker's Party, or "Nazi" party. It can also refer to a character who, in some way, shape, or form, whether through visuals or through dialogue, is proclaiming allegiance to the Nazi ideology.
However, the word "Nazi" was an insult in use long before the rise of Adolf Hitler's party. It was a derogatory term for a backwards peasant, a shortened version of Ignatius (Ignaz), a common name in Bavaria, the area from which the Nazis emerged—essentially, "Nazi" means Bavarian Redneck. Opponents seized on this and swapped the party's official acronym, NSDAP, for the dismissive "Nazi". The Nazis themselves briefly attempted to co-opt it in the way Americans embraced the song "Yankee Doodle", then once they got into power just beat up anyone who used it.
A group of modern Furries known as Nazifurs like to draw their characters wearing Nazi uniforms; despite the questionable claim that this is merely out of interest in the "fashion" of the uniforms (versus bona fide neo-Nazis like the Furry Raiders and Alt-Furry), Nazifur art is generally considered distasteful.
