It was due to Respiratory shutdown/failure. Alzheimers/dementia was getting worse as well these past two months. At least it was when she still knew us.

Mom passed away on the way to the hospital.

This is a terrible year...

@Kemonophonic: Once I finish the other books I have coming in, I think I’ll move on to Brave New World, Catcher in the Rye, and maybe a few more

@Kemonophonic: "where everyone is equal" there must be a catch if it's a dystopia rather than a utopia. Judging from the premise there was. Pretty people gotta wear masks. Interesting because I haven't heard of it until now. Nice short story.

@Kemonophonic: Nice. I used to have the Limited Edition Great Gatsby in gilt (thin layer of something like gold or gold). Bought for $1 at a flea market. I haven't read Brave New World, but the dystopian premise sounds like a good read. 1984 feels like a more tragic dystopian than BNW and 451. Another favorite of mine was The Most Dangerous Game (short story), and Lord of The Flies.
