The whole posts section doesn't work at all for me ._. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be down right now, but it is for me. Here works, and comments, and I can go to images through comments; but for everything else it keeps telling me that "something broke."

yell yell yell etc etc
read the header message, and forum #12421

Hey Riversyde. Try to just let it slide when peopel post somthing you don't like let them ask questions its what this forum is for is to discuss the problems and if people don't read the header and ask its ok there are people here who can talk to them without having to be rude or yell or any other way. ^^ Have fun posting everyone.

This. Admittedly, I don't think I'd have the patience for it, either.

Good to know. Please fix as soon as possible, though I understand the time frame, reverse programming is a bitch, to say the least.

What? That's not where I posted that...

I'd just like to thank the poor tired programmer for all of his work trying to fix a real headache. He has a real life to take care of and he's still making time to get this site running. That's worth something. How many furry sites like this do we have anyway? Give him a pat on the back for his work sometimes. Right now it would mean a lot.

On the main page it says end plus several characters above the armadillos head. Not sure what browser Zune hd uses.

Take another look at it. I'm pretty sure I did what you were asking.

You could of done it your self unless the pool was locked.

Once varka updates, most bugs should be fixed.

deleted images with notes are showing in the "notes" section!

please fix it´s annoying

Updated by anonymous

after the update, here's what i'm experiencing:

- ad at top page somehow moved in front of search results and in comments section, if i'm looking at an image

- when hovering over notes, just a blank box appears

- some thumbnails i click, takes me to a downbooru page even though the rest of the site is up

the first one only happens when i'm viewing site on a console, not when on my laptop.

Yeah, funny thing about upgrading a production app to 1.9.2 from 1.8.7 .. since 1.9.2 likes encoding. and 1.8.7 doesn't care... you have ascii playing with unicode and that makes everything break in 1.9.2. I'm switching the application back to 1.8.7.. but moving it over to sweet sweet REE for that server fresh ruby taste

Previously, if one were to drag and drop a submitted picture to a folder on their hard drive, it would save the image with a filename consisting of the image's tags. As of right now, no matter what tags an image has, it will always save as e621.jpg.

I haven't been on the site for a few days, so I'm not sure when exactly this started, but I imagine it's another side effect of the update that was just mentioned. Also, I guess this may not have ever been an important (or even intended) feature, but I found it quite handy. Any idea if this might be something that can be reverted?

e621 has never had this capability... your browser might. but not e621.

I have the same problem on my iPod touch. The add is never where it's suposed to be. always covering some of the image results and comments.

Banner problem has been identified and will be fixed soon.

I'm having some weird issues with the forums. Whenever I click on a thread, then click "Forum" again, all the threads that haven't updated since I left the Forum page are marked as read, even though I haven't read them. This generally wouldn't be an issue, but a billion threads have popped up in the week I was off. I guess it's still not a big deal but...eh. Thought I'd inform you all.

Yeah that's because the site marks topics unread based on the last time you viewed any post period, so once you read one post, it sets your last-viewed-time to now, which is more current than every post, and therefore marks them all read.

I'd like to make it thread-specific but Aurali would be the one doing that.

That explains that.

Images between 0000-0059 don't show in the popular_by_day page. Tested it early this morning when the date changed on the popular_by_day page. For 1 hour no posts were able to be seen.

I'm not seeing what you're talking about there but when a post is made between the hour of 0000 to 0059 in the morning the post does not show in the popular_by_day page. I posted 3 this morning during that time period and not one showed up on the page when the page clearly showed that it was the new day. At 0100 another post was made and it was the first post shown on the popular_by_day page.

Thought you were talking about posts IDs, normal people refer to hours of the day in formats such as 00:00 or 00h00, you know.
For your bug, i'd blame daylight saving, or different timezone.

As of now it's 05:57 for the server (according to the last post and the upload hour) and 18:57 for me (CET).

This means the server is on a GMT - 11 timezone, which i don't know at all.

Edit : seems like GMT doesn't apply daylight saving

I've blacklisted the tags "my_little_pony" and "friendship_is_magic".
'Cuz I'm a hater.

Works fine with posts:
http://e621.net/post/index

But only works halfway with comments:
http://e621.net/comment/index

The image next to the comments gets replaced by a white square with the word "Blacklisted" in it (good). But e621 still displays the comments themselves (bad).

Sweetie, I simply don't think that the blacklist was meant to hide comments.

Updated by anonymous

I still think that it's worthwhile to look into to see if the blacklist can't apply to completely block/remove a post for anything that has a relevant tag to your blacklist. I know I get a bit nauseous when I see the commentary for a scat pic, especially if some utter asshole decides to describe in detail what's going on in the picture- ruining the point of the blacklist (And before you flippantly remark to just not look- a quick glance can often be more than enough tor ead all of a comment, especially for fast readers).

Updated by anonymous

There seems to be a bug/missing feature in the blacklist: all the entries are case-sensitive. This is easy to fix and would be very user-friendly.
My suggestion is to scan the new blacklist while saving a change and make all letters small since there aren't any tags with capital letters.

the facial_cumshot tag shows as having -68 occurrences. post #148140

It's in the process of being aliased, and as such shows the number of images that are tagged it, in reverse. It's odd, I know.

No, the tag count for a tag does not include deleted posts tagged with it. So, if a tag has 100 shown occurrences, but has 20 deleted posts tagged with it, there are really 120 occurrences.
If all occurrences of the tag are removed from the deleted posts, the tag count will come out to -20, cause 100 - 120 = -20.

https: isn't really working properly because you have links to non-secured resources

Even the front page has an odd pre-caching link to analytics (tip: take off the http:, it'll then use whatever the base page uses - consider using async as well).

Image thumbnails on the main page could use the same trick.

Bwack. Really sorry I use special settings to run my test environment and they must have gotten crossed over. anyhow 3 2 1 fixed!

The gentags: arttags: chartags: copytags: search method seems to be broken in some way, because if you search gentags:0 you get 30 images with no general tags, but you will also get 95 pages with 1+ general tags.

repeat with the others to get almost the same result

The arttags/chartags/gentags search only works on posts who have been posted since last version (ID > 92625) OR who have been edited at least once since then.

Hi, am new to the site (in that I only registered an account here recently). Have yet to actually successfully do anything, (in this case post a comment to an image), yet any attempt to do so gives me an hourly limit exceeded error. Unless my hourly limit = 0, seems like there's a bug. (Either that, or there's some other crucial aspect of the site that I have failed to comprehend.)

How you could miss the link to the guide on the comments page, I'll never know.

I did look there. I just now checked both http://e621.net/wiki/show?title=howto%3Acomment and http://e621.net/help/comments yet again to make sure I didn't miss anything obvious, and then a few more times, trying to figure out what I might be overlooking.

I can conclude one of two things: There's something wrong, or I'm being monumentally stupid, missing something there even though I checked over and over.

I did notice the 15 comment/hour limit (not counting non-bumping comments), but seeing as how I've successfully commented on an image _zero_ times, not 15, certainly not 15 in an hour, but a grand total of zero, I suspect that there's something wrong. (or is there some other page I'm missing)

ie, I understand that I could potentially post a non bumping comment, but I thought I still ought to mention that the supposed 15 comment/hour limit for bumping comments seems to be acting as a 0 comment/hour limit instead. Perhaps there's something else I missed?

Wow. Monumentally stupid on my part it is then. It's like my eyes just skipped past that line and instead I just kept reading the list of basic rules and the comment help page trying to figure out what I missed. I am rather embarrassed.

Sorry.

Well, obviously the message hasn't been changed. I also don't make it a habit to delete my cookies.

Same happens to me too, and I never delete cookies, and they're not deleted on their own because my login cookie is never deleted either.
