I'll need the following, browser name and version, cookie expiration date and content (should be a year off unless your browser totally sucks) operating system and of course what subdomain of e621 you have the cookies on (www, none, ssh..)

Also to the android person, can you please read the other threads?

Well, I use Opera. The same thing happens when I use Opera Mini, too. It seems to happen at random. I know one time, the news showed back up when I was trying to make an alias. Pressing the Add button caused nothing to happen, even after I refreshed the page. Hiding the news didn't work either. I'm sure I didn't fuck with anything to make it to not work. Maybe it's an Opera + Javascript problem.

Updated by anonymous

I don't think it's an issue with Opera per se, since I use Firefox and have the same thing happen. I do notice however that it hasn't been happening lately.

Updated by anonymous

I updated my Java. No more issue. Maybe it was just a plain Java problem?

I'd say this is a bug. Image previews done show up anymore on Smartphones. Everything loads perfectly, like normal. Then the previews show for like a second befor that lil loading circle appears and never leaves. I left my phone on the first page for ten minutes, expecting the images to slowly load. But nothing. If I click on a pic though, it takes me to the image just fine and it loads. But previews dont work.

I take it back, just had it happen again. Seems clicking links does it- at least, that's the only thing I did that caused it.

What happened?

Updated by anonymous

The thing I've been talking about for the past few posts on this thread. :P The issue with the news popping back up.

Which actually reminds me- Until lately when I clicked links in comments, it would totally ignore any settings/changes I'd done to the page, ie; if I'd ctrl+scrolled in to see images easier (1920x1080 widescreen on a 28 inch TV and it's at the foot of my bed, not so easy to see unless I zoom in a little). That no longer happens, but the news thing does.

e621 doesn't change your viewing size. that's all browser based.

order:favcount is broken. When searching order:favcount -animated from that other thread, I noticed that the first listed post, post #83390, had 305 faves. post #80878, which is #6 on the page, has 358.

The codes right. I just need a way to update the favcount more often. :3

android bug is gonna be fixed. or did you not read the sticky?

Cannot duplicate on opera or firefox.. or chrome..

yeah.. I can't get it to un-work the way 123easy describes either ;_;

Normally it doesn't/didn't change. it was only when following another person's link in comments. The biggest thing was that it would reset my text size, a setting that is in firefox itself, so I don't know exactly what was going on there. The other "major" (I use the term loosely) issue that happened was the ctrl+scroll in/out would get reverted to default, even though my other pages (That I had opened without using someone's comment link) would be unaffected.

Also, does anyone else find it mildly humerous that the news blurb about Ouroboros, the neverending serpent, is the one that keeps cropping back up? :P

Updated by anonymous

e621 does not have the ability to do that. It is impossible for a website to reset a custom browser setting, same with scolling. There is no code that would control your personal zoom setting, I'm sorry but that's your browser.

Only had it happen here under the circumstances I described. *shrugs* Dunno what's causing it, but it's only happening here. Hell, for all I know, it could be because of buggy cookie application, which would at least partially explain what's going on.

Uploading from links starting with https:// doesn't work. You get a 404 (of sorts) error.

The option just isn't there.

Images can only be flagged for deletion once ever. Flagging simply means that it needs to be reviewed again. Once reviewed, if it's approved again, it can never be flagged again.

can we get that repealed? If enough users flag it, wouldn't that illustrate that perhaps more care should be taken with the selection process?

Not really, I think it'd just demonstrate that users are going to disagree what should be allowed on the site and what shouldn't. We don't remove an image "because a lot of people dislike it".

The only case I can think of where this could conceivably be a problem is if an image is improperly flagged once and the re-approved, then a better version of the same picture is uploaded, but the old picture is unable to be flagged as being an inferior version.

True enough. Perhaps extend it to two/three flaggings available, but space them out over minimum week's time? (If it's even possible to do that)

Something curious I just discovered. It seems for me that at every post, the image is now a link. Pretty cool, except every image seems to be linked to post #116736... which doesn't seem all that useful. :/ Bug? Or feature-in-progress? Or am I just missing the joke?

Feature-in-progress. Aurali is trying to fix the behavior of image down-sampling for anonymous users, but yeah this particular attempt didn't really work out. It'll be fixed soon.

So. just clicked this link ( http://www.e621.net/post?page=3&tags=flat_chest ) in http://e621.net/forum/show/22683 (forgot how to post forums in short links) and got "logged out", my zoom in got redacted to the normal "zoom" which is pretty small at 1920*1080, and news pops up. Reproduceable every time. Odd thing is, I'm not actually signed out; If I click a link in another tab that I have my signed in account on, I remain signed in and nothing changes. However, conversely, if I click a link after clicking said above link, I instead remain logged out with the different interface.

http://imageshack.us/g/202/loggedoutbug.jpg/ here's both a screencap of my logged in proportions and the logged out buggy proportions. Oh, and it also resets the news (think that's more just the logged out part of it). The odd thing is my proportions don't change if I manually sign out- ONLY if I click a link through a thread or comment like that. here's what my login/signup loooks like normally. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/20/normalsignedout.jpg/

It's probably something to do with the www extension, perhaps your browser doesn't save cookies or zoom settings across subdomains.

This is actually a security feature of your browser <3
the www is a seperate domain to it, so it records cookies AS a seperate domain.

Blame your browser

this bug has been recognized and a solution will be implemented in the upcoming weeks, I'm still reorganizing things to make the code more site neutral.. but this is not noticable on e621.

Certain browsers, I've noticed, have been buggy in regards to editing tags. Opera for instance doesn't even recognise the fact that 'Edit' has been clicked. It seemed to started happening around the time that an Android bug was fixed.

i think i said this somewhere already, but i don't remember where, or know if it is that big of deal. when you go to your profile and use the random button to list 50 images that you uploaded, deleted images are included.

Then I guess I'll have to use a regular computer and not my Wii's Internet Channel to edit tags.

Sorry Dude, I can't keep supporting outdated browsers.. (They REALLY need to update the opera version on that thing.)

I guess the fact that the "Under 18? Go here." text is still missing from the homepage is a bug. Seriously, when is it gonna be put back up?

Not a bug but a grammatical error. I noticed you had "Welcome" in different languages on the account page. The Swedish one is incorrect, it should be "Välkommen". "Välkomna is the plural form.
Didn't know to who or where to send this, hopefully here is fine.

Voted up an -1 image. 0 is {color:red}. Refreshed the image, score disappeared, showing just "(vote up/down)". To verify it's post #174011

Tested another score 0 image with score hidden. Vote up, score still hidden, refresh, shows as 1.

Updated by anonymous

0 score being red is just a minor thing, it'll be normal once you refresh the page. The score text missing is a known problem and is already fixed in the next update.
