Quick question. Do you think you might have hit the tag edit limit for members?

Yeah, that's very likely. I can edit tags again now, so that only hints more at it.

Cool. Alright yeah I found the problem. I was cleaning up the error messages there and missed something minor.

It can safely be ignored for now, I've sent a patch for the next update.

Trying to upload this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14089013/
Gives: 500 Internal Server Error.
Trying to upload the same with only two tags, gives: He's dead, Jim, Something went horribly wrong... Give this to an admin to report the issue: 16823a1ceac60646339fa9eeffa98d80

It's that particular file only.

That link returns ONE comment, by zaffy, thats it. This is the entire page https://imgur.com/rphdmJe

isn't how you search for a user's comments anymore. You need to hit "click to show search options" and type in the username (example)

Pools no longer have a checkbox to delete images from them. I noticed this when I went to remove a deleted post from pool #7605.

After two differend days and hundred of tries, still can't do it. Also tried with direct upload and that seems to have its own issues.
And it's just that particular file.

Found the issue and sent a fix for the next update. Basically the checkbox only shows for mod+ and the creator right now. The fix will enable it for everyone as long as the pool itself isn't locked.

I deleted the duplicate at the end of that pool (I'm assuming that's the one you wanted to delete) but until the fix is live feel free to bug me or one of the other mods to remove posts. I'll try to get this pushed asap.

Ok so..not sure if this a bug, but since when does the blacklist auto alphabetize...in descending order?

Is there a way to not have it auto-alphabetize?

The alphabetize and dupe removal is deliberate, the descending order is...well that's definitely a bug. One of those things where it still

Eh...no not currently. You could technically start lines with a hashtag to sort them out of order.

#a, mammal
#b, horse
#c, zebra
#d, anthro

Kind of a messy hack though...

More importantly, looking at how I assume you are sorting your blacklist, that doesn't seem to be a very practical solution. I'll see what I can do about getting a checkbox added (either on the settings page or just a one time "clean up blacklist on next save" button).

Negating sets does weird things for some reason. I still haven't quite figured out why but I know it's affected by how many sets a post is in.

Yep, seems to be directly tied to how many times the posts appear in sets. I tried adding post #504823 to the mass orgy set, and it went from six to seven appearances in certain searches, such as orgy absolutely_everyone -set:3374.

(Blacklist still correctly counts that as a single post.)

I got a few strange upload errors that disappeared after deleting and re-copypasting source links from FA.

Don't have time to reproduce the errors atm, but I'll check again in a few hours

Updated by anonymous

I don't see this bug listed here yet:
It's about the autosupplied source links. So (when there's a Deviantart direct link, it auto adds the link to the artist's main gallery page as well) but it's stripping out dashes and replacing them with underscores. This doesn't work for URLs since http://mick_o_maikeru.deviantart.com/ doesn't work and http://mick-o-maikeru.deviantart.com/ with the dashes intact is the only way to reach the actual page needed. So right now, we get both the valid and invalid versions of the link populating the source box.

Also, now that we're generating additional links, I think we should consider expanding the source limit maximum. Because when you have the links for the image in four of the artist's galleries, and the autogenerated links to the main profile for each of those galleries starts crowding it for space...there's just not enough room for it all to fit. But the generated links tend to be useful, especially on images with less sources to begin with, or from sites with less intuitive link formats (which is fairly common). Maybe if we expanded the source field to allow more sources (like 10 instead of 5) we could eliminate that crunch for space it's starting to cause.

Bug: 500 Internal Server Error when attempting to upload JPG images.

Expected behavior: After tagging, sourcing, and rating a normal JPG image uploaded from my hard drive, it should post.

Actual behavior: Clicking 'Upload' results in the page hanging on the POST create step for a moment before displaying the 500 Internal Server Error page.

Steps to duplicate:
1. Download this TF comic: http://www.monstrousdoctor.com/site/futa_werewolves.pdf
2. Download Windows version of the CLUI utility xpdf, available here: http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/download.html
3. Extract images using the xpdf image extractor, found in xpdfbin-win-3.04/bin64/pdfimages
4. Use the -j flag to ensure JPG images are extracted directly as JPG and not portable bitmaps.
5. Attempt to upload file to e621 website.

File names are futawerewolves0003 and futawerewolves0005 with the .jpg extension. Removing all tags, sources, and comments still results in the error.

This is actually why I peeked in this thread, This has been happening for the past few weeks on and off. Well this and Cloudflare constantly insisting there's problems and not giving me a live version. I miss just getting a 502 on those rare occasions.. Those seem to have come up a LOT less before the whole cloudflare thing.

Error 500 leading into 404 File Not Found on upload.

This leads to the image being deleted and not being able to be re-uploaded because it was previously deleted. I hope there is a fix for this soon as I am basically not uploading anything until I can be sure it won't 500 or 404 into oblivion.

People are still uploading too, even when half of the uploads are going MIA.

The upload plug should be pulled before this gets worse.

When I uploaded post #836514 from FA with the "OR Upload from URL" option, e621 displayed a white rectangle with the text "Not Found" in the preview area, and a second later, it displayed the actual preview and the text "Uploads from d.facdn.net are permitted"

Oh, that part is normal. Every Jim error message has a unique autogenerated code. It allows for the admins to look at the specific error in the logs, I gather.

I've traced the errors today back to an issue with our caching solution. For now, I've disabled caching on the site, so performance will be down, but "Jim Errors" (I like the name, @titanmelon) will be down as well.

I'll be spending time in the near future engineering a better, more pokémon-friendly caching solution.

Updated by anonymous

The 500 Internal Server Error on upload I mentioned earlier persists, so that must not be related to the faulty caching issue. The images causing it don't have any unusual properties and seem to be valid, non-corrupt JPGs.

How long will it be like this do you think? Though I thought e621 underwent changes to improve performance?

The anchor tags on avoid posting seem to be broken, treating everything below the ctrl-f hint as individual wiki tag links.

[edit] Correction. Viewing via the link https://e621.net/artist/show?name=avoid_posting (searching posts for the tag, then clicking the question mark) shows the problem I mention above, but going there through https://e621.net/wiki/show?title=avoid_posting (as done by the wiki tag code in the original version of this post) the anchor tags function as they're supposed to work.

Are you sure you aren't mixing up greater than/less than? That would show all posts with a score of 25 or less, which includes the majority of posts (which may look like it doesn't work).

Getting 500 Internal Server Error when attempting to upload https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CcBSOXSUsAAdh8F.jpg:orig, which is a higher-res version of post #818220. Didn't have that issue earlier when uploading post #839001, and attempting to upload the new image again consistently results in the same error message. It does not lead to a 404 in this case.

Anyone else having this issue, is it part of the website being borked, or is it some oddity just on my end?

Just to be on the safe side, given my recent experience with a similar issue, when you select the file to upload, on the upload page, does it show the smaller version of the image, or "No image"?

If the latter, check to make sure that the image file will display normal on your own computer, as the file format may be corrupted, as was the case with what's now my most recent upload before I figured it out.

If it does show the preview, though, then the coders are going to have to intervene. :P
