Trunchbull had some pretty good animations, then they deleted everything :-(

In my opinion, the hand-drawn frame by frame porn is the best animation. Anything made with 3D software, tweens, or the puppet tool just seems stiff and soulless by comparison.

I've seen some 3d stuff thad had a lot of effort poured into it to make it no longer seem stiff.

I'm not a big fan of puppet-pin animation in general, and I feel like people tend to give that sort of animation way more credit than it is due, because the underlying art is generally pretty good, and they can't distinguish the art from the animation.

I've seen some animations that are objectively bad - broken segments, disconnected segments, movement distorting the surrounding area - and yet get a reasonable amount of upvotes.

So definitely agree with you there. However, on the topic of 3d animation... I am not willing to put that in the same category. Most of it is bad. Heck, I have it blacklisted. But at the very least I do respect quite a lot when it is done well, and it sometimes is.

My favorite is frame-by-frame though.

Renamon's Blowjob by ZONKPUNCH

I'm curious about what people liked about this enough for it to have a score of 1300+, in less than a year too

It's the highest rated explicit post on the site

Excluding stuttering caused by dublicate frames that gotten there trough frame rate missmatch, which artist luckily started to fix on later animations...

...it's bloody Renamon.

But also, if you do think about it, most animations rely on small and simple looped content. If you actually put effort into animating something, it does require a lot of time and dedication and most sites only accept gif and maybe flash, so small looped content makes perfect sense then. Mix in animations created with puppet tools from already available images and source filmmaker with game asset ripping and you have overwhelming amount of content that is pretty similar or already seen before.

So contrasting that, someone creating animation from ground up, putting effort on things like camerawork and slight facial expressions which aren't possible when looping stuff, using HD resolutions and smooth frame rate, using music to their advantage to set the mood and pace instead of just being background filler, etc. all the things just feel deliberate and well done instead of trying to fit inside limits of artists resources and filetype restrictions.

...and also renamon, if you want attention in furry community that does seem like the #1 thing to use.

Wow, that Krystal post I uploaded is the third most downvoted post of 2016.

An "accomplishment" for something uploaded on December 21st.

Artists trying to generate revenue with their work seems to have been one of the biggest struggles especially after patreon launched. And furries seem to be only group that is having the problems because they try to dangle prize after the payments.

I have actually uploaded couple images which were mostly advertisements here, because I genuinely believed that artist was trying their best to sell their product. After that I did realize that uploading ads here isn't that good idea, as users are here for artwork itself only, even if ads had artwork in itself.

With that said, if artist posts censored version on their private gallery with note saying that they will upload it for free at some point, then uploading it here without that note about it being free at some point of course you are in for downvotes and are generating anger towards that artist. On top of that, post will most likely get replaced in any case in future. Thinking posts as "my upload" has also felt bit toxic on booru enviroment, making post count your epenis and getting personal on stuff you had nothing to do with.

Altough this isn't only case of putting patreon logos and pixelation on top of explicit parts in image. Artists are fully in control of their work of course, but as crowdfunding is still pretty new thing, many do seem to forget or do not even know proper etiquettes how to handle stuff trough that kind of monetization. e.g. that krystal image, instead of pixelization and censoring, simply crop and make it absolutely transparent what the fuck is happening to user, because nobody reads descriptions and images are being shared. Be open, transparent of what you are doing, make users want to give you money instead of forcing them to give them, remember to market that you have crowdfunding available instead of hiding it in profile as single link, remember to post publicly also on your crowdfunding, etc, etc.

Honestly, I liked the detail more than the content. Like, yeah the content is tantilizing but most animated stuff don't focus on detail and just keep it simple due to the workload being too much.
