Or when you hit them from across the map in 2fort and they just stand there unable to move and their head's just sort of swaying around with stars flying all around them.

Or when you're a Medic and nobody is taking care of the Sniper, so you go just in front of the drop and take advantage of the arc shape of your syringe gun to hit him from somewhere he can't see you even though you can't see him (If you don't use the damage *ding* then you can use the Blutsauger to indicate that you aimed correctly).

And they said the Syringe Gun was useless.

Huh, I always wondered how invisible medics could do that.

As somebody who played as both a medic and a sniper, I came to realize where damage could be coming from and would get out of position and move to hit the medics. Or learn that if my arc stopped hitting that the sniper might be doing so themselves.

Making other people happy,
I know how cheesy that sounds but it's kinda true.
It distracts me from whatever I'm down about at the moment
and makes me feel better in that kinda of way like
"If I could make other people happy, maybe I could be happy too."

If that doesn't work then video games are always a good default. =)

Same. The fact I've helped certain people recover from shitty situations is one of the things that keeps me going.

Glad to know meet another like minded individual n_n
and I know that feeling exactly. Though lately I've been branching out and finding other things to keep me going like drawing, making video and things like that. Though I does link back to bringing joy to others by doodles them something, It's a more independent thing I can really let go with and just let my mind race as ideas come. =)

Writing is my go-to personally. I'm not so hot at drawing, but I've always been great at designing characters, settings, and scenarios.

Are you into pony stuff lol? Been trying to practice my follow-through and get myself into the mindset for post-apocalyptic shit with some Fallout: Equestria writing, though I haven't gotten very deep into it yet. Been going through a depressive period and all.

I've thought of similar things with my own writing, though it's more like a reverse Vault 101 scenario, where they don't know the rest of the world isn't destroyed.

As for the depressive period, I hope you feel better. Might be a good idea to put some upbeat stories in between so you don't accidentally make yourself feel worse.

to just to take a break from all that and have a 'You' day man.
So you can recharge and generally feel better about things.
Though that's just what I do so 'Results may vary' n_n;

That's what RP is for.

Also while I tend to write stories in oppressive, terrible, dreary, and overall unpleasant settings, I have a tendency of favoring happy endings. I feel like the most grimdark worlds are the best exploration of how good people can really be.

(Gotta make sure the protags work for it though.)

Is kind of one of my more favorite things to do lately honestly, though that may have been inspired by recent videogames I've played that have cutesie cartoony art and stories with shockingly mature and sad backstories.

Appreciated, but the thing is that it's hit a point where I feel like that's all I do anymore. I can't motivate myself to do much of anything productive and it's been a long time, now.

I know how that feels. If you have real life friends, I suggest maybe hanging out with them. Even if it's just one or two friends. You never know. You could end up helping a friend who had the same problem.

It'd be nice. I don't really know anyone in the area, though. I'd have to attend, like, a 'thing' or something, like a con or a ren faire, in the area, I think, just to have a basic idea that we're into enough of the same things not to end up just boring eachother, too.

But the specific part of where I live that I live in is pretty dull.

(Don't ask where please, I'm very private about that kind of thing.)

I think just about everyone here is very private about where they live. They may reveal which country they're in but not much beyond that.

i don't see how you could. especially when this world is so full of hatred and suffering...caused and spread by humans.

then again, i suppose it is nice to see some people fight against those who would spread such things.

I'm sorry but this attitude is an insult to the many people who work hard and sacrifice so much to right wrongs that aren't theirs without asking for much in return. If there were not people who have done good for us, we would not be typing here

-_- i wonder which side of humanity outnumbers the other. good or bad?

i'm not saying i'm ungrateful for those who work to make things better but sometimes it's hard to see the light in the darkness.

Same here. Despite things that have happened in my past that made me resent humanity in general, I've gotten past that. I've learned to appreciate the nice people around me, without letting the ones I dislike ruin me. It's great.

I feel the same way some of the time, it is worth concentrating on the positive. I tend to distract myself with mundane things or some DIY task that stops my mind wandering.

Well, think about it this way. Bad things tend to stick in the mind longer. You just don't remember the guy who held the door open like the guy who said something rude to you.

That's probably because you're less likely to remember something if it is expected or goes as expected. You'll remember the guy who closes the door in your face but not the one who holds it open because you generally expect people to hold it open. You won't remember the hundreds of times something goes the way it's supposed to go but you will remember the one time it doesn't.
