Reason: I might be opening a can of worms with all of these technically-different-but-way-too-specific positions (arch position vs. reverse wheelbarrow position, doggystyle vs. mounting vs. step position vs. perching position vs. leapfrog position vs. rear admiral position vs. god knows what else), but as long as they're in use, might as well be consistent and have them imply sex like the other position tags.

(there's also squat position but I think nobody's using that tag per its description)

Seems fine, though reverse_wheelbarrow_position needs major cleaning. Most of the posts in it are mistagged arch_position or piledriver_position. Good example of what happens when sex position tag lacks proper wiki...

Ah, tag group:sex positions also lists butterfly position.

...With no description, a "See also" to piledriver position, and 11 posts that are all in different positions and definitely do not look like piledrivers. Might not add that one to the BUR.

I gave up trying ^{please excuse anywhere my reasoning got wonky in that thread} to filter the broad-use position tags (eg. missionary_position, cowgirl_position, doggystyle) into their more precise variants because they come in too fast to keep up with and I just don't want to spend that much time here anymore. They might as well be either disambiguation or umbrella tags at this point as the vast majority of taggers don't use the other tags.

Actually, now might be a good time to ask: when it comes to those more-precise position variants, would it be a good idea to have them imply the broader positions? So if doggystyle is the "umbrella" tag, then step position, leapfrog position, andrear admiral position would implicate it.

For curiosity's sake, do sex positions actually have to have sex happening to be tagged? Or could the characters just be in the position without any penetration or genital stimulation occurring?

They wouldn't exactly be "sex" positions if there's no sex.

They would be positions for having sex in, even if Tab A wasn't inserted into Slot B. Something like post #963515 for example, is perching_position, but it's after_sex with the penis out of the other character, there's no sex still happening.

For that post in particular, I'd just tag male on top/female on bottom.
