Topic: [BUR] Freeing up the threading tag

The bulk update request #2100 is pending approval.

remove alias threading (0) -> all_the_way_through (2876)

Reason: Over the last couple of months, I have been (painfully slowly) creating subtags for all_the_way_through under the root tag threading (because bolting extra words on a tag that's already 4 words long gets pretty tedious). See topic #29360 for more details. Having now gone through all posts currently tagged as ATWT, I am now planning on tying all of them together under the root tag threading, which is currently aliased to ATWT.

Since BURs can't operate on tags that have been unaliased as part of the same script, I'm submitting this one separately.

I'm going to bring this one back up because it's something that still bothers me.

Now that we have well-established *_threading subtags, and that they all structurally tie back to all_the_way_through, the unfortunate reality is that there isn't really any clean way to search for "classic" ATWT anymore without having some jukaroism or ear_threading crop up. The best one can do at the moment is ~oral_threading ~anal_threading -mismatched_threading, but given that's the "expected" kind of ATWT, I'm sure users would expect us to have an actual tag for the "regular variant", like we do with pregnant_female or oral_vore or similar, so those can be searched for without having to manually exclude all the rest.

My original plan (see topic #32700) was to unalias threading from ATWT, use threading as the root tag for all the then-new threading subtags, and have ATWT imply threading while making sure that all posts under ATWT feature either anal_threading or oral_threading. Since that other BUR has been approved before the unalias, though, people would have gotten used to ATWT as the root tag, so I'm no longer sure what to make of it.

Do people here generally agree that ATWT should be "recycled" as the name of the classic anal <-> oral threading, or do you favour using a different name instead to avoid confusing users who don't keep up with the wikis?
