Recently I find that though users can add posts to their favorite list, but it’s hard to follow the artist of the post, because once we want to find the artist, we must back to the post and find the artist tag to view the artist’s post. Actually it’s a kind of complex. So can e621 provide a mechanism that user can add the artist into their favorite list (or artist tag) or let user users can follow an artist like pixiv? If it can be achieved, I will be very grateful.

There is a tool called "RE621" that lets you "follow" any tag, including artist tags. See topic #25872 for details.
