No, I never have. I tried temporarily disabling my firewall and that didn't work.

nothing I did would have damaged the picture protocol. Clear your browser's cache (cookies, javascripts, all that) and try again.

That didn't work either :(. But thankyou for the suggestion. My PC is sorta outdated, mabye that's the problem. It just doesn't make any sense. Imma run a boot-time virus scan (wich takes frieking forever), mabye that'll work. Thanks again.

oh oh oh i have an idea for the blacklist
maybe you could make it so that if you search anything like
"sex"
then in the background of that search, it would also search the things in your blacklist, like
-fat -male -female -gay -straight, etc..
that could make the blank pages stop happening

every additional tag is another search, for example, one tag takes 7 seconds, two takes 15 three takes 24 four takes 34 five takes 50 and so on and so on... so yeah. the answer would be no.

way too many pictures try to show on one page now causing this website to not load fully on my phone. Also, blacklisting still doesn't seem to be working. Is there a limit to the amount of tags you an put in there? I have them separated by spaces.

Thanks for replying! Blacklisting now works fine and I'm glad the 100 pics per page won't e in the final version. It'd be nice if you could set the amout of images per page like on FA.
Another thing I don't like is I now can't drag and drop to save images. I have to click download then right click on the image, save image as, select location, and save. I used to be able to just drag :<

The drag and drop is actually a BUG in firefox's decryption process.
Also Yes, the set amount will be like blech, but saved so it is remembered in cookies :3

You SHOULD just be able to right click on the picture and save, or whatever, without the step of 'downloading'...
though past THAT...
Assuming you ARE using firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/image-toolbar/
That'll give you a little toolbar when you hover over an image that includes a 'save' button. :)
you'll still have to (I believe) tell it where to save to but few fewer clicks are a few fewer clicks

There's also the firefox Addon SaveImageInFolder which... does exactly what it says on the tin. It's really nice for sorting images into the proper folders without having to swap between them all the time.

Ability to delete (your own) comments from deleted posts?

When you click to favorite or vote, the page shifts because "post #12345 added to favorites" or w/e appears. This could be fixed by applying {visibility: hidden;} to the text instead of {display: none;}. This preserves the height of the text, merely hiding it.
Seconded on SVG images. If compatibility is desired, I know that Wikipedia uses software to convert SVGs to thumbnails and scaled down PNG versions (something that is obviously impossible for Flash). I haven't looked into it but I guess the framework would have to clean SVG uploads of scripts that could be potentially malicious (although arguably SWFs can be less safe). Animations are also possible in SVG without using JavaScript with the use of tags (SGML?).
Updated by anonymous
I'm fine with the page shifting when adding something to my favorites, actually. In fact, it lets me know when it's successful without having to scroll up, although that's lazy of course.

The first one ain't changing, I really prefer the height difference and sudden shift over it, and I'm sure that it'll cause more complaints then it saves.
Anyhow, on the SVG images. This MIGHT happen in the future, but right now I'm not gonna rewrite our custom image parsing software again any time soon. Possible for Ouroboros 2 though :3

Not to mention if you just hide the text, then you have a bunch of vertical space wasted for text that you're almost never going to see.

We need an "Are you sure the reason you're flagging isn't retarded?" warning or something. or maybe "Be forewarned. If the flagging reason is deemed unacceptable, you will be banned for ? days. The length of a banning may be affected by the number of past offenses."

chrome is a buggered piece of crap when it comes to image parsing, just turn off javascript. and add &limit=15 to your search bar.

Nooo. The name of the comic should not even NEED to be tagged. We just allow it cause no-one seems to search the pools.

They either want a column for the number comment the user has made to show up when searching comments, or the comment's ID number to show up in a separate column.
Speaking of counting comments... why were the links on a userpage that had the number of how many of a certain thing you have, like comments, favorites etc, changed to "View" instead?
Would it be possible to get the counters back?
Updated by anonymous
See, I was thinkign they wanted a "this picture has XX comments"
Also, +1 for counters here :D
Updated by anonymous
I actually meant "this picture has XX comments". Except just the "XX" o' course. I'd take the width required from the column containing the comment.

A quoted comment should at least be a slightly different colour to a normal one.

Can we get an auto-sourcing system for images from deviantart like we do for Pixiv?
If you get an image URL from deviantart (using http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/205/8/9/sanctuary_revisit_by_apofiss-d41h14w.jpg as an example picture), take the characters between the - and the . at the end (d41h14w) and attach them to the end of "www.deviantart.com/#/", you get the picture's source! http://www.deviantart.com/#/d41h14w

This works for sites where the direct image link is somehow related to the gallery page. That's not the case on FA, where it could work like this:
When you upload a post, you should be able to put an FA gallery page in the source field, like so:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3970386/
e621 would then extract the image URL from that page...
http://d.facdn.net/art/kacey/1275889007.kacey_foxlets.jpg
... and upload the pic from there.
No idea how much work this is, especially if the supported sites change their layout regularly.
But if it's not much work, this scheme could be implemented for different art sites (FA, DA, etc.)
edit:
Might be too much work for DA, where *sometimes* there's a "Download Image" link with a high-res version.
And occasionally, this link contains a zip file with multiple resolutions of the same image (often used with wallpapers).

I think... if the artist has an 'artist wiki page' and you put in one of the http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/205/8/9/sanctuary_revisit_by_apofiss-d41h14w.jpg urls, it'll go "oh, apofis, that jpg isn't her url. This is!" and display the approapriate url.
I think.
This is a guess.

I don't think that's it. Plus, that wouldn't work if the artist had more than one URL in their page.

It would make it a hell of a lot easier to make sure .fla and .swf files are tagged as flashes.

Minor quibble, but it would be nice if the cursor defaulted at the end of the tag list when you click edit instead of the beginning.

We used to have one at http://svntrac.e621.net, which became defunct when nrr left the coding team.
Anyway, the forum is a better place for multiple people to discuss a bug or feature request.

Second. Something like this:
http://e621.net/post/index?tags=fav%3A123easy
becomes:
http://e621.net/post/index?tags=!fav%3A123easy
or
http://e621.net/post/index?tags=-fav%3A123easy
Also, how about 4 -> 6 searchable tags for basic users :)

I'd like a separate field for the post's original filename, so if other sites that keep the original filename when they are uploaded, we can Google search the filenames and integrate their galleries into ours :)
I have recently found two image dump sites by searching the filename of an old post on here given in the source field, one of which is loaded with furry art.

Source history
- you could see how many sources someone has updated (like tag edits, note edits and wiki edits in somebody's profile)
- it'd prevent the theoretically possible crime of source vandalism

does it really get abused that often?

No, but when it does, there's no way to recover it currently, and that -really- sucks. i've seen a few images get sources removed for no really good reason before, out of the blue.
